The academic programme of our Congress is a unique opportunity for you to contribute to a vibrant community, showcase your expertise, and play a pivotal role in shaping the future of project management.
The 33rd IPMA World Congress will be held from 27 to 29 November 2024 in Cape Town, South Africa. The congress aims to engage the global community of project owners, practitioners, scholars, and students to participate in active discussions and knowledge sharing towards the realization of HOPE in Africa and beyond. Through a focus on people, purpose and performance, congress participants will reflect on the past and debate the future possibilities of development through projects.

The academic track will focus on three diverse areas namely: information technology and artificial intelligence (IT & AI), environmental-social-governance (ESG) and capital projects. Researchers are invited to submit their papers under one of these sub-tracks for consideration.
Recognition
Indexation in Web of Science, Conference proceedings & Publishing in the Journals
The accepted papers will be published in the Conference proceedings that will be submitted for indexation in Web of Science.

Publishing in the Journals
The author(s) of the highly-rated peer-reviewed papers will be selected and
recommended to submit an extended/modified version, for publishing in the journals,
aligned with the additional requirements of the specific journal.

If you have never used the Conftool tool and/or platform before, you must first register.

When submitting your Full Paper please select the correct sub-track on the Conftool portal.

Language: Full Papers are to be written in English and should be submitted electronically using the Conftool system.

If your full paper is accepted as a paper presentation, you will have to register to attend the congress.

The maximum length of abstract: Abstracts will be a summary of no more than 300 words, providing information about the purpose of the paper, research methods, and the most important findings and implications.

The length of the full paper: should contain 3,500 to 6,000 words (excluding the bibliography). All submitted papers will undergo a double-blind review process.

Keywords: Between 3-5 keywords in alphabetical order, separated by commas. Each keyword should not contain more than two compound words, and each keyword phrase should start with an uppercase letter.
